Ventana Special Projects - Project Manager

Overview

Ventana Special Projects - Project Manager role at Ventana Construction Corporation. Manage construction projects valued under $30 million from a business perspective and work closely with the Construction Superintendent to deliver high-quality buildings and service for clients. Responsible for on-time completion, efficiency, cost control, and building relationships with all project stakeholders.

• Review documents, project drawings, contracts, and specifications in detail and inform the appropriate team about potential issues or conflicts.
• Plan and manage daily operations and construction schedules while monitoring project progress.
• Monitor expenditures, review invoices in detail, and manage labour and material costs according to the project budget and underlying estimate.
• Prepare contracts and confidently negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
• Liaise with the project team, clients, consultants and sub-contractors.
• Train and mentor Project Coordinators.

• 3-5 years of construction management experience, preferably with a general contractor.
• Experience with tenant improvements (TIs), commercial, multi-family residential, and industrial construction.
• Post-secondary education in Construction or Project Management.
