Join Amrize in Coquitlam, BC, as a Lead Hand, specializing in concrete finishing for municipal projects. Your leadership will be key to successful project execution and quality assurance.
In this full-time role, you will oversee the construction of essential structures like curbs and sidewalks. Your responsibilities include site preparation, equipment operation, and ensuring safety compliance. Train junior members to bolster their concrete construction skills and foster a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate activities of the concrete crew effectively
• Prepare work sites and pour concrete accurately
• Maintain and operate concrete tools and equipment
• Ensure adherence to building codes and safety standards
• Develop skills of junior crew members through mentorship
Requirements:
• At least 3 years of experience in municipal concrete work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in concrete curing and surface treatments
• Valid driver’s license and ability for some travel
• Commitment to safety regulations and equipment usage
