Fraser Health is embracing virtual methods to enhance patient care! This position is entirely virtual. The Virtual Psychiatry Unit represents a novel approach to delivering acute Mental Health and Substance Use care to clients across the Fraser Health Region. This innovative program offers the opportunity to work within a team-based, inter-professional care environment. Care is administered to acute patients directly in their homes and through virtual channels.

• Consult at the Virtual Psychiatry Unit.
• Actively engage in outreach to patients' residences.
• Provide consultation to Assisted Living and long-term care facilities in collaboration with patients' attending physicians.
• Engage in consultation liaison within MHSU.
• Conduct assessment, outpatient treatment, and consultation.
• Conduct family meetings, organize case conferences, discharge planning.
• Educate psychiatry residents and medical students.
• Ensure continuity of care by fostering positive working relationships and advocating for psychiatric needs.
