Main Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions
• Conduct routine health assessments, preventive care and health promotion
• Manage patient records accurately and in accordance with provincial health regulations
• Refer patients to specialist services where appropriate
• Collaborate effectively with nurses, allied health professionals and administrative staff
• Participate in on-call duties as required by the practice
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical best practices and guidelines

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution
• Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) — holders strongly encouraged to apply
• Eligible for or currently holding full registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
• Newly qualified doctors are welcome to apply — we fully support candidates through the licensing and registration process
• Valid registration with the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) or eligibility for the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a broad and varied patient caseload
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English
