The Coquitlam School District is looking for qualified individuals for temporary School Counsellor positions. This vital role requires a Master's degree in counselling or counselling psychology, relevant teaching experience, and preference will be given to those eligible for the British Columbia Teacher Regulation Branch certification.
Your role will be significant in aiding students from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional counselling to students facing challenges
• Facilitate programs that support mental health and wellbeing
• Work closely with teaching staff on student development
• Uphold confidentiality in all counselling interactions
• Advocate for inclusive practices throughout the district
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in counselling or counselling psychology
• Relevant experience in teaching or counselling
• Certification proof required for applications
• Eligibility for certification with the Teacher Regulation Branch
• Two administrator references needed from recent positions
