Rise Arts Company is seeking passionate, creative, and highly reliable Visual Arts Instructors to lead engaging after-school programs for children ages 5–14 across the Tri-Cities area.
We are currently hiring for the 2026/2027 school year, with positions beginning in late August 2026. Our interview process will begin late May 2026.
Our programs focus on creating a fun, welcoming, and professional environment where students can build confidence, creativity, and artistic skills through hands‑on learning experiences. We are looking for instructors who genuinely love working with children, are knowledgeable in their artistic medium, and are excited to inspire the next generation of young artists.

Programs take place directly at school sites during after‑school hours and vary by season and location.
Schedule & Availability- Part‑time: approximately 2–8+ hours/week
- Must be available a minimum of 2 weekdays (Monday–Friday) during after‑school hours
- Typical shifts fall between 2:15 PM – 5:00 PM
- Individual shifts are typically 2–3 hours in length
- Due to program scheduling and school dismissal times, additional consecutive hours on the same day are limited to 2-3 hours
- Additional teaching opportunities may become available throughout the school year, including during Pro‑D Days, spring break, summer break, and other seasonal camp programming periods.
- Plan and lead engaging visual arts lessons for children and youth
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment
- Demonstrate and teach a variety of art techniques and mediums
- Adapt activities based on student age, skill level, and class dynamics
- Manage classroom routines, behaviours, and transitions professionally
- Communicate effectively with staff, families, and school partners
- Support student growth, creativity, and confidence through positive instruction
- Passionate about working with children and youth
- Knowledgeable and confident in visual arts mediums such as painting, drawing, crafting, ceramics, pottery, and/or fabric arts
- Experience teaching, coaching, camp leading, tutoring, or facilitating youth programs
- Highly reliable, punctual, organized, and professional
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Comfortable leading groups of up to 15 students independently
- Positive, energetic, patient, and team‑oriented
- A team player
- Looking to grow within arts education, recreation, or child‑focused programming
- Valid First Aid Certification
- Successful Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation preferred
- Availability for mandatory staff training prior to program start
