The position requires collaboration in operational management, including student placements and academic advising. With a focus on communication and inclusivity, you’ll help maintain the quality of education in the DACS program while supporting faculty initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the practicum placement process with advisors
• Share teaching load responsibilities equitably
• Provide regular academic support meetings for students
• Collect faculty PD/Vacation forms annually
• Facilitate departmental meetings and ensure follow-through
Requirements:
• Master’s or PhD in a related field
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience managing shifting program priorities
• Focus on issues of diversity and accessibility
• Must align with the Conflict of Interest Policy
Help lead the DACS program to success and foster a supportive academic community at Douglas College.
