Lead Faculty Coordinator - Child and Youth Care

Take on a pivotal role as the Faculty Coordinator in the Child and Youth Care Department at Douglas College. Support students and faculty with guidance in a hybrid working environment.

This one-year position runs from September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027, with potential for extension. You'll oversee program operations, manage the student selection process, and facilitate the practicum placement. Engage with faculty to ensure effective program delivery and communication. You will also provide academic advising to students through scheduled meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and support student progress throughout the program

• Organize and take part in student recruitment activities

• Coordinate practicum placements and related services

• Organize program events to enhance student engagement

• Facilitate academic advising sessions for inquiries

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in a human service field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Orientation toward operational detail

• Responsive to changing priorities and student needs

• Commitment to maintaining a transparent work environment
