Hybrid / Coquitlam Campus

Salary Range: $71,846 - $115,129 annually. Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

What It Takes
As a Co‑Coordinator, you will share the planning, organising, and managing of the administrative and operational aspects of the programs in the DACS Department.

The general responsibilities include the following:

Facilitate the practicum placement process; support the Program Advisor with preparation and confirmation of student placements in the program.

Work alongside the DACS Co‑Coordinator responsible for workload and course scheduling, ensuring fairness and equitable distribution of teaching; complete paperwork attached to the process.

Work with Co‑Coordinator to delineate expectations of each co‑coordinator’s specific roles and responsibilities.

Provide a regular schedule of on‑campus or online meeting times for academic advice and inquiries for students.

Gather, review and sign the annual PD/Vacation forms from faculty members.

Convene meetings of dept. faculty and ensure distribution of minutes; monitor task completion.

Course Development – Curriculum oversight – inputting and shepherding through governance system. This includes overseeing transfer credit – block and individual.

Completing Annual Program Review and a Comprehensive Program Review.

Engage faculty colleagues, encouraging them to participate in the running of the program and other related activities.

Respond to information inquiries about the program; attend and facilitate information sessions.

Along with the FACS Front Desk, organise the Program Advisory Committee & recruitment of committee members.

Attend monthly meetings related to the Faculty, including FEC and Coordinators.

Work with Faculty Administration in attending to policies, procedures, and processes specific to the DACS program.

Establish good working relationships with staff, faculty, students and administration ensuring good communication.

Requirements

A Master’s or PhD degree in a related human service field.

Ability to work and collaborate in the spirit of transparency and disclosure.

Ability to work with Co‑Coordinator to manage shifting priorities and various program demands in the day‑to‑day operations of the program.

Responsiveness to student issues, concerns and inquiries, with attention to diversity, equity and accessibility.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including being able to solve problems and resolve conflict, including providing constructive feedback.

Must not have a conflict of commitment – refer to Conflict of Interest Policy (A02).

Additional Information
The Faculty of Applied Community Studies is seeking Coordinator(s) for the Disability and Classroom Support program (DACS). These two positions each have a 3‑section time release.

This position takes effect September 1, 2026 for an initial one‑year term with the possibility of an extension(s) up to a maximum of three years.
