Enhance your educational journey as a Student Assistant for Orientation at Douglas College. Engage with peers and faculty while creating impactful experiences for incoming students.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for students eager to contribute to campus life. Responsibilities include collaborating with various campus partners to develop effective programming for new students, as well as overseeing event logistics and volunteer management in a flexible, supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop learning outcomes and programming for student orientations
• Track and manage event budgets and costs
• Coordinate logistics including supplies and catering
• Support recruiting and training of volunteers
• Provide assistance during events and help with communication
Requirements:
• Background in campus involvement or clubs
• Familiarity with campus resources and supports
• Basic event planning experience and leadership skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Cultural sensitivity and commitment to inclusion
