Become a Facilitator for the Y Mind Teen Group at YMCA BC, focusing on supporting adolescents aged 13-18. This casual position runs from October 2026, guiding young individuals through anxiety management.
In this role, you will co-lead engaging psycho-educational sessions, helping teens learn coping mechanisms in a welcoming environment. You will be involved in participant intakes and ensuring that young people feel safe and included throughout the program’s duration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage intake procedures at information sessions
• Facilitate weekly psycho-educational group sessions
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for participants
• Guide referrals to appropriate community resources
• Collect and prepare evaluation data for the program
Requirements:
• Degree in mental health or related field required
• Proven experience with youth support groups
• Understanding of mindfulness and ACT
• Experience conducting participant intakes
• Successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
