This Peer Tutor position focuses on guiding students to develop crucial academic skills in writing, communication, and study techniques. You’ll gain valuable experience and will engage in professional development opportunities that enhance your credentials. Collaborating with faculty will expand your insights into effective learning strategies for diverse students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor students in academic success strategies
• Engage in continuous training and professional growth
• Assist with workshops and marketing activities
• Provide guidance in scheduling appointments
• Participate on internal committees to enhance learning resources
Requirements:
• “B” or better in subjects to be tutored
• High level of emotional intelligence required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office essential
• Willingness to engage in continuous training
• Interview prerequisites include writing samples and recommendations
