Temporary Chemistry Laboratory

Position: Temporary Chemistry Laboratory Support Role
Support student learning as a Temporary Chemistry Laboratory Facilitator at Douglas College. This on-call position offers flexibility and an opportunity to share your chemistry expertise.

In this role, your responsibilities include teaching lab techniques and guiding students through experiments. You will ensure that lab sessions run smoothly and effectively, fostering an environment where students can thrive. Your passion for chemistry and teaching will significantly impact student success in the lab.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach students proper lab techniques and procedures

• Prepare and manage lab assignments for effective learning

• Oversee the organization and functionality of laboratory activities

• Communicate essential information with students and faculty

• Uphold safety standards during all lab procedures

Requirements:

• Strong foundational knowledge in chemistry and lab operations

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Excellent skills in written and verbal English communication

• Familiar with laboratory safety measures and WHMIS

• Enthusiasm for helping students learn and excel
