Casual Learning Inclusion Support Worker

Support students with diverse needs at Coquitlam School District as a Casual Learning Inclusion Support Worker. Engage students in activities while facilitating their academic and social growth.

As part of the third largest school district in British Columbia, you will collaborate with education assistants and teachers to provide direct support to students. This role involves assisting with life skills and curriculum tasks while promoting positive interactions. You will help modify materials and instructions to meet individual student needs, both in classrooms and during field trips.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers and assistants with student support

• Encourage student participation in classroom activities

• Modify educational materials per teacher guidance

• Foster positive social interactions among students

• Promote student independence in life skills

Requirements:

• Grade 12 and Learning Inclusion Support Worker Certificate

• One year of relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience

• Valid B.C. Class 5 driver's license may be required

• Completion of two criminal record checks
