We are seeking applications for a CAD Designer & Process Improvement Specialist who will support operational efficiency by creating 2D & 3D CAD models, reverse‑engineering components, maintaining facility layouts, and operating 3D printing and laser‑engraving equipment. This hands‑on role blends technical design with process‑improvement work, including data analysis, equipment upkeep, and participation in lean initiatives.
Permanent Full-Time (40 hours)Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (flexible)
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year
In this role, you will:- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, reverse‑engineered components, and production‑ready technical drawings.
- Operate and maintain 3D scanners, printers, laser engravers, and related fabrication equipment to support CI initiatives.
- Manage component fabrication from start to finish, including post‑processing tasks such as sanding, finishing, and polishing.
- Support continuous improvement projects through data collection, analysis, and implementation of productivity‑enhancing solutions.
- Maintain organized workflows, equipment readiness, and consumable inventories to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Technical training in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Manufacturing Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, ExModel) and hands‑on 3D fabrication tools.
- Knowledge of Lean principles, problem‑solving tools, and experience with ERP systems, MS Office, and Power BI.
- Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
