About You /
What We Are Looking For The City of Coquitlam is seeking a motivated and technically-minded Project Delivery Lead 1 to support the coordination and delivery of parks and civic facility projects within our growing community.
This role is well suited for someone earlier in their project delivery, construction coordination, architectural, engineering technology, or infrastructure career who is looking to gain hands-on experience working on major municipal infrastructure and community facility projects.
Reporting to senior staff within the Parks and Capital Projects team, you will support various aspects of project delivery including project coordination, consultant and contractor communication, technical review, field inspections, project administration, and stakeholder coordination.
You are collaborative, organized, and eager to continue developing your experience within project delivery and construction environments. You bring a foundational understanding of construction practices, project coordination, and technical documentation, along with a willingness to learn and grow within a supportive municipal team environment.

Nature of Position This position involves administrative and technical work supporting the coordination of park and civic facility construction and renovation projects. The work includes assisting with project liaison and coordination activities related to the design and construction of various park and civic facilities; preparing reports, project documentation, schedules, specifications, budgets, and related materials; and conducting field inspections of work performed.
Project priorities are established by a superior and, within those parameters, the incumbent exercises sound judgement and initiative while supporting project delivery objectives. Complex matters, policy issues, project status updates, and significant budgetary matters are reviewed with a superior.
Key Responsibilities Support the coordination of park and civic facility construction and renovation projects through various stages of planning, design, procurement, and construction.
Assist with coordinating consultants, contractors, user groups, and internal stakeholders to support project delivery objectives.
Support the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, reports, budgets, tender documents, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
Review plans, specifications, contracts, and related documentation for general conformance to project requirements and municipal standards.
Conduct site visits and field inspections to support quality control, project progress monitoring, and compliance with safety and contractual requirements.
Assist in tracking project documentation, invoices, change documentation, and project records.
Support communication and coordination between project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications Diploma in Landscape Architecture, Building Technology, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
