Position Overview
Project Manager - Field Services will lead projects, foster strong client relationships, and oversee Field Service Technicians. The role is hybrid, requiring approximately 40% business travel (including overnight stays) and 60% onsite work at the corporate office in Coquitlam, BC.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to increase brand awareness and attract potential new clients
- Build and maintain client relationships to generate new work and drive repeat business
- Maintain CRM activities, opportunities, and forecasting
- Oversee all aspects of region‑specific projects
- Plan resources effectively and collaborate with other regions to share resources
- Ensure proper preparation and execution of scheduled work
- Prepare status and progress reports
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure safe work processes are followed on each job
- Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and completion of work; prepare client reports
- Ensure accurate and timely project invoicing
- Assume ultimate responsibility for client service delivery on all projects
- Electrical Engineering diploma, degree, or PSE certification
- NETA (International Electrical Testing Association) certification preferred
- 5+ years’ experience as an Electrical Technologist / Field Technician / Power Systems Electrician preferred
- Experience in maintenance, repair, rebuild, and troubleshooting of transformers, protective relays, and circuit breakers
- Proven knowledge of the principles behind test equipment and a well‑rounded understanding of power systems
- Experience in installation, commissioning, and start‑up of power equipment
- Experience with automation & control systems in the power and utilities market (asset)
- Hands‑on field experience in commissioning, testing, or maintaining power delivery equipment (e.g., breakers, switch gear, relays, transformers)
- Ability to travel—approximately 40% overnight
- Valid driver’s license
- Career‑oriented individual with proven initiative, client focus, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent time‑management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Team‑player with excellent oral and written communication skills
