Intertek is searching for a Senior Project Engineer, Engineering Services to join our Building & Construction team in our Coquitlam, BC office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) Industry!
The Senior Project Engineer, Engineering Services is responsible for managing complex projects related to regulatory compliance of building products and/or assemblies, direct involvement in Intertek certification programs, and engagement with various external industries and technical associations.
What you’ll do:
Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of building codes and related product standards by research and review. This includes witnessing testing at the laboratory to see the product standards in action.
Work on engineering evaluations for regulatory compliance in Canada and US markets for both standardized and innovative building materials/assemblies
Prepare technical and certification documentation derived from test results and evaluations.
Help write compliance research reports, create Listing reports through Intertek's certification program, and manage QA programs
Perform audits and product sampling at client manufacturing facilities.
Collaborate closely with sales, laboratory, and technical teams to support seamless project execution.
Manage assigned projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery with continuous communication with clients.
Participate actively in industry committees, standards development activities, and technical association meetings.
Interactwithclients,accreditor sand/or Authority Having Jurisdictiontoresolve any matters

What it takes to be successful in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field
Minimum of five years of experience in technical writing, regulatory compliance, and familiarity with the testing, inspection, and certification industry
Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonalskills
Excellentleadershipandteambuildingskills Mustbeabletoworkindependentlyinafast-paced,multi-tasking environment
Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams

Salary & Benefits Information
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 per year. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
