Overview
The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Coquitlam is seeking an Associate Advisor to join a successful Advisory Team. You will deepen client relationships by offering sound advice and support to clients and to the Investment Advisor. Identifying and assisting growth of new business opportunities will also be key.
Responsibilities- Coordinate meetings and events for the Investment Advisor with clients and prospects: help determine agenda and key topics, prepare documentation, execute post‑meeting work.
- Provide proactive client service with a problem‑resolution focus and attention to details.
- Respond to client account inquiries and remain accountable to follow‑up, as required.
- Identify and execute opportunities among existing client base for asset consolidation, referrals, etc.
- Co‑manage client acquisition pipeline (prospects / leads); work with advisory team to close new opportunities.
- Deepen existing relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) through ongoing management.
- Trading and / or Portfolio Rebalancing.
- Conduct ongoing research on markets and investments, provide regular updates to the advisory team.
- Support advisory team and client through the Wealth Management process: gather relevant information, coordinate activities with Wealth Management specialists, track progress and follow‑up.
- Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC.
- Successful completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course or Investment Management Techniques (IMT).
- University degree.
- A self‑directed individual with a growth and goals‑oriented mindset.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- 4 years or more of professional experience within investment industry.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Highly developed client service skills.
- Customer Service, Customer Service Management, Decision Making, Interpersonal Relationship Management, Investment Management, Investment Performance Measurement.
The expected base salary range is $38,000 - $55,000. This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.5x base salary. Compensation will be determined by factors including but not limited to experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions and business needs.
