Responsibilities- Takes lead in proactively engaging existing customers and prospects through needs‑based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
- Engages customers for needs assessments to recommend tailored solutions across everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business solutions.
- Offers clients advice on digital and self‑serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.
- Supports customer transaction needs based on traffic.
- Builds new relationships, schedules appointments, and expands BMO’s business in the community.
- Addresses questions and resolves issues via consumer credit audits and quality checks to ensure accurate data entry and compliance.
- Applies risk‑management framework to protect BMO’s assets and maintain portfolio quality.
- Makes credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, following banking policies.
- Collaborates with branch and market teams; probes customer needs; integrates marketing programs.
- Organizes work information for accuracy and completeness.
- Finds creative approaches to personalize each customer experience.
- Contributes to ongoing improvement of the overall customer experience and business results.
- May work at multiple branches or channels; schedule may vary weekly.
- Adheres to risk, compliance, privacy, and ethical requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of personal banking products and market trends.
- Identifies and reports suspicious activity for AML compliance.
- Complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Completes complex tasks; handles escalations; analyzes issues and determines next steps.
- Broader accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
- 2‑3 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Canada only: registration to sell investment products, as applicable.
- Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
- Knowledge of personal and small‑business customer needs and solutions.
- Knowledge of retail investments and lending products.
- Experience in financial services is an asset.
- Comfortable using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
- Experience in consultative customer service or sales, with drive to deliver a personal experience.
- Commitment to helping customers, focus on results in a team environment.
- Self‑starter with confidence to approach customers.
- Collaborative, strong interpersonal skills, active listening and problem solving.

$38,500.00 – $71,000.00 per year (competitive; plus commission where applicable).
