BMO is hiring a Personal Banking Associate to join our award‑winning Personal Banking team in the Lower Mainland. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and delivering personalized financial solutions while supporting branch business objectives.

• Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities and expand customer relationships.
• Welcome and guide customers, providing advice on available digital and self‑serve options.
• Conduct client conversations to recommend banking services and alternative channels.
• Meet customer transaction‑based needs with seamless execution.
• Engage customers in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities for banking plans and credit card solutions.
• Contribute to branch business results and the overall customer experience.
• Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, and filing.
• Assist as a lobby leader, delivering personalized service and investment advice.
• Integrate marketing promotions into customer conversations and provide strategic advice.
• Maintain accurate and complete customer records.
• Find creative approaches to create a personal customer experience.
• Identify ways to improve the overall customer experience.
• Adhere to risk and compliance processes and safeguard customer assets, privacy, and best interests.
• Stay current with financial services, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Monitor for suspicious activity related to money laundering and report as required.
• Follow legal and regulatory requirements for each jurisdiction.
• Execute complex tasks within set limits.
• Analyze issues and determine next steps, escalating when necessary.
• Adapt to market needs, working across multiple branches or channels as required.

• 1–2 years of relevant experience or a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Canada only:
  Registration to sell investment products within 12 months of appointment.
• Proficient with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
• Experience in consultative customer service or sales, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
• Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions.
• Passionate commitment to helping customers.
• Results‑oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a consultative sales environment.
• Self‑starter with courage and confidence to approach customers.

Salary: $36,000 – $54,500 per year (Salaried, with potential commission). Additional benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, retirement savings plan, and employee banking. The total compensation package varies by location and experience.
