As a Credit Analyst in the Equipment Financing team at National Bank, you will act as a credit evaluation expert, making a meaningful impact through financial analysis, risk management and loan structuring. You will support Canadian businesses by offering tailored financing solutions that help them grow and thrive.
This important role delivers effective risk‑based loan pricing and profitability management. The credit analysts serve as subject‑matter experts, providing guidance and support to credit associates and support teams, enhancing the development of our credit capabilities.

- Analyze credit applications and recommend appropriate financing structures.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Risk Management teams to support sound credit decisions.
- Approve credit requests within delegated limits and prepare recommendations for complex cases.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to portfolio assessments to identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Prerequisites- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in financial services, risk management or commercial lending.
- Strong skills in financial statement analysis and credit evaluation.
- Knowledge of collateral requirements and credit documentation.
