Become a Support Worker with Strive Living Society in the Lower Mainland, BC. This part-time role focuses on helping adults achieve personal goals in their home and community.
Strive is actively seeking enthusiastic individuals for their Supported Independent Living (SIL) program. As a part-time Support Worker, you will assist with skill development and community integration for adults with various abilities.
Your role will include working directly with participants, facilitating health care appointments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance their independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients in achieving identified personal goals
• Facilitate health care appointments and treatment plans
• Encourage participation in community activities
• Report feedback to the case management team
• Develop rapport with clients in various contexts
Requirements:
• Minimum one year of experience in a related field
• Class 5 BC Driver’s License and clear abstract
• First Aid and CPR Certification
• University degree or diploma in social sciences
• Access to computer and internet
