’ Digital Team builds AI and analytics solutions used across the business. Our work spans manufacturing - predictive maintenance, process optimization, plant data troubleshooting, and asset management - as well as commercial areas like marketing, sales, and demand forecasting. Our portfolio includes the Asset Kare platform, supporting operations across Canadian and US sites, alongside a growing suite of generative AI assistants and analytics tools for corporate teams.
you will do
- Design, validate, and deploy machine-learning, optimization, and statistical models that solve concrete business problems (anomaly detection on production lines, demand forecasting, or LLM-powered internal assistants)
- Build LLM-based agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and fine-tuning or prompt-engineering workflows where they meaningfully outperform classical approaches
- Own the model lifecycle - experimentation, deployment, ongoing performance monitoring, drift detection, and retraining
- Collaborate with the team's data engineers and architects on the pipelines and platforms
- Establish governance - implement validation, monitoring, and documentation practices to make models maintainable
- Explain technical decisions and their business implications to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- MSc or PhD in Machine Learning, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field, with 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong expertise in machine learning, optimization, and statistical methods, with the ability to apply them to real business problems
- Experience leading or influencing complex, cross-functional analytics initiatives and translating business needs into solutions
- Hands‑on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, and/or Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
- Strong programming skills in Python (production-level);
JavaScript is an asset - Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), big data tools, visualization/BI platforms, and modern data/AI tooling
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and business acumen, ideally within CPG, retail, or similar industries
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non‑technical audiences
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to quality and data integrity in fast‑paced environments
- Bilingual (English & French), industry experience, and research/open‑source contributions are considered assets
The starting range for this role is $95,000 to $125,000 – or higher, depending on your experience. Our pay philosophy is to attract the best talent at the best pay while offering real opportunities for career advancement. Performance and ideas that make us better are recognized.
