Position: Application Designer for Public Sector
Become a key player in Canada's public sector modernization as an Application Designer/Developer. This fully remote role focuses on modernizing critical education systems and requires strong technical leadership.

This position involves a blend of application development and solution design, requiring at least five years of experience in software engineering. You will lead the transformation of legacy systems into a modern Open Shift ecosystem, working closely with government stakeholders. Your responsibilities include coding, quality assurance, and collaborating in agile ceremonies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of modernized business applications

• Translate requirements into scalable, maintainable code

• Monitor development activities and certify deliverables

• Conduct unit, integration, and system testing

• Document technical work and support data conversion planning

Requirements:

• 5+ years in application development and system design

• 2 years in BC Government or similar public sector environment

• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and relevant frameworks

• Strong knowledge of web technologies and security protocols

• Excellent collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
