Become a vital part of the purchasing team at School District No. 43 (Coquitlam) as a Buyer
1. This full-time role involves managing procurement for equipment, services, and supplies.

As the third largest school district in Canada, School District No. 43 is looking for a Buyer 1 to report directly to the Manager of Purchasing and Transportation Services. This experienced position requires strong communication skills, a solid background in purchasing, and at least two years' experience in a large-scale environment. Applicants must have Grade 12 education, relevant computer skills, and initial training in Supply Chain Management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in procuring equipment and supplies efficiently

• Manage purchasing documentation and vendor relationships

• Collaborate with various departments on their purchasing needs

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and guidelines

• Support the Manager in transportation service tasks

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education with business courses

• Completion of Year 1 of Supply Chain Management Program

• Two years’ purchasing experience in a large operation

• Proficiency in computer software, especially MS Office

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
