Community Maintenance Assistant at Kwikwetlem Nation

Join the Kwikwetlem First Nation as a Maintenance Assistant, focusing on community care through routine maintenance and repairs. Ensure spaces are safe and well-kept for residents.

This position supports the Community Infrastructure team’s efforts to maintain and repair Nation assets effectively. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will work on minor repairs, ground upkeep, and assist in inspections, reporting safety concerns as needed. You'll work both autonomously and under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute routine maintenance tasks, including repairs

• Manage groundskeeping activities such as mowing and weeding

• Conduct routine inspections and report concerns

• Carry out seasonal maintenance and equipment checks

• Address maintenance requests respectfully and efficiently

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in maintenance

• Proficient in basic tool usage and repairs

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License in BC

• Basic understanding of safety protocols is an asset
