About the Company
Mahler Machining is one of Western Canada’s leading manufacturers of precision‑machined components. We’ve been family‑owned and operated for over 40 years and have grown rapidly under new ownership since 2022. We run a modern, clean shop with 27 CNC machines and a team of over 50 people across three shifts. Culture matters deeply here – we value respect, teamwork, hustle, ownership, and doing things the right way.
Our goal is simple: be a world‑class manufacturing partner for our customers and one of the best places to work in manufacturing.
We’re hiring a Shop Hand to join our production team, assisting with finishing, packaging, incoming inspection, and general shop support in a fast‑paced precision machining environment. This is an entry‑level role – no prior manufacturing experience required. The position is on our Day Shift (Monday‑Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm). We’re hiring for attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn. Training will be provided.

- Team‑oriented with a positive attitude.
- Safety‑conscious and respectful of shop procedures.
- Comfortable working in a busy, active production environment.
- Extended health and dental benefits.
- Health and lifestyle spending accounts.
- Life and disability insurance.
- Paid vacation starting at 2 weeks, increasing to 3 weeks after 5 years.
- Discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
- Company‑provided uniforms and safety equipment.
- Safety boot allowance.
- Company events and team off‑sites.
We promote from within whenever possible. Strong performers in this role can grow into skilled production roles as they gain experience. This is an excellent starting point for someone looking to build a long‑term career in advanced manufacturing.
