Graveyard Shift Arena Operator

Join Planet Ice in Coquitlam as a Graveyard Shift Arena Operator dedicated to maintaining optimal facility conditions. Use your mechanical skills and experience in a hockey arena to excel in this role.

This position at Planet Ice requires a mechanical aptitude and an Ice Facility Operator or Refrigeration Operator certification, or a 4th-5th class Power Engineer. You will be responsible for the refrigeration plant and overall building maintenance while driving the Zamboni. If you love hockey and take pride in your work, this is the team for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain refrigeration plant for optimal performance

• Drive the Zamboni for ice maintenance

• Oversee facility upkeep during graveyard shifts

• Collaborate with the team to solve mechanical issues

Requirements:

• IFO or RO certification or 4th-5th class Power Engineer

• Experience working in a hockey arena preferred

• Strong mechanical problem-solving skills

• Dependable and self-sufficient work ethic

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
