About

The Role

We are seeking a safety-focused, experienced Terminal Operator / Maintenance Lead to join our team. This role is built for a versatile industrial professional who brings strong operational safety standards and a continuous improvement mindset to the site.

While you will be responsible for daily terminal operations—including loading/unloading liquid asphalt cement, operating salt loaders and equipment, and managing emulsions—you will also take hands‑on ownership of plant equipment maintenance.

We place a high value on safety, operational excellence, and professional growth. For high‑performers who show dedication, strong leadership on safety, and initiative, we actively invest in your development by providing additional opportunities for specialised training, certifications, and skill advancements.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Operate heavy equipment, including loaders, for bulk material handling and salt bagging operations.
  • Monitor product storage, temperatures, fluid levels, and transfer systems to prevent contamination or downtime.
  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, pumps, valves, piping, and motors
  • Troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues to maximize uptime
  • Drive operational excellence by helping to standardize site procedures, housekeeping, and maintenance logs.
  • Serve as a site champion for occupational health and safety regulations, safe job procedures (SJPs), and environmental compliance.
  • Bring a continuous improvement mindset to daily work – identifying safety or efficiency improvements and helping raise overall plant standards.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
