Security and Doorman

Position: Security and Doorman at The Taphouse
Join The Taphouse Coquitlam as a Security and Doorman team member. Create a safe, welcoming environment through strong communication and crowd management skills during busy nights.

This role involves blending security duties, customer service, and crowd control in a vibrant venue. You'll greet and verify guests at entry while ensuring compliance with BC liquor laws. Your keen judgment helps prevent issues and promotes a positive atmosphere for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival

• Verify IDs and enforce venue policies

• Monitor guest behavior for safety

• De-escalate conflicts with communication skills

• Assist with crowd control during events

Requirements:

• Previous security or customer service experience preferred

• Valid BC Security Worker License preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to remain calm under pressure

• Physically capable of standing for long periods
