- Safely operate a crane while maintaining communication with the ground crew for safe and efficient rigging and unrigging
- Ability to perform pre-operational inspections including Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA), calculating cranes capabilities and weight to ensure you have the proper equipment for rigging and hoisting.
- Understanding the crane s load chart, notes and warnings and being able to calculate or determine the crane s actual net capacity for all possible configurations of the machine.
- Competent in completing all necessary pre-job paperwork as well as log book following the completion of the job
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating a crane
- A Tickets, B Tickets or Journeymen Red Seal Tower Crane Certification
- Must hold a valid class one driver s license
- Must understand the functions and limitations of the crane
- Have the ability to problem solve and handle high-stress situations in a professional manner
- Oversee the crane s general condition and notify management when maintenance is required
- Staying alert and maintaining a high level of concentration
- Ability to assess situations and identify potential hazards
- Represent the company, resolve customer concerns, and keeping a positive attitude
- Mechanical ability to make minor repairs when necessary
