Join Sask Abilities as a Part-Time Employment Specialist based in Yorkton, focused on empowering clients through personalized employment support. This role involves developing action plans and facilitating job readiness.
This temporary position requires 30 hours per week for a one-year term. Engage with clients and build partnerships with employers to create effective job customization solutions. Your influence will extend across Yorkton and its rural surroundings, making a significant community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients in assessing their needs and strengths
• Assist in the development of resumes and interview techniques
• Collaborate with partners to design paid employment positions
• Provide job coaching and regular employer check-ins
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in a human services field or equivalent experience
• Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
• Acquire First Aid/CPR/AED certification within three months
• Knowledge of labor markets and cultural sensitivities
• Proficient organizational and networking abilities
