Position: Support Worker for Independence
Join Strive Living Society as a Support Worker in Coquitlam, BC, facilitating independence for individuals in the Supported Independent Living program. This part-time role emphasizes skill development and community integration.

As a Support Worker, you will assist adults with various abilities in achieving their personal goals through tailored support. Your work will involve promoting health, well-being, and active lifestyles while managing treatment plans alongside multidisciplinary teams. By building rapport and encouraging community engagement, you'll play a critical role in fostering independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one assistance to program participants

• Facilitate health care appointments and treatment plans

• Support skill development in social and recreational areas

• Encourage community participation and involvement

• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year experience in relevant support roles

• Class 5 BC Driver’s License and clean abstract

• First Aid and CPR certification

• Understanding of mental health and challenging behaviors

• Effective communication skills in various contexts
