Coquitlam School District seeks motivated Youth Workers to provide on-call support for students and families. With a community of 34,000 students, your role will focus on educational, emotional, and social assistance, ensuring that all students can succeed despite their challenges. Qualifying candidates should have relevant education in child/youth care or psychology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students facing educational and social challenges
• Work closely with families to enhance support
• Partner with district staff and administration
• Create a welcoming and safe environment
• Effectively communicate needs with educational stakeholders
Requirements:
• Two years of education in child/youth care or a related field
• Two years of university coursework in Sociology/Psychology
• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License
• Completion of police checks necessary
• Commitment to embracing diverse backgrounds
