As a Casual Transitional Worker, you will be guided by the Director of the Cottage/Transitional Housing Program.
Your role includes administering medication, supporting life skills, and ensuring engagement in daily activities. You’ll assist mentally ill residents, implementing psychosocial rehabilitation principles while connecting them to various resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement cooking and cleaning programs with residents
• Assist with daily life skills activities
• Administer medication as per guidelines
• Support clients in accessing community resources
• Observe and report changes in resident conditions
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Service
• Two years of related experience required
• Valid B.C Class 5 Driver’s license
• Ability to obtain First Aid + CPR certification
• Knowledge of the criminal justice system preferred
