Requirements
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Work must be completed at the physical location; remote work is not an option.
Experience
Experience an asset.
Responsibilities
Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
Address customers' complaints or concerns.
Load and unload goods.
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
Perform emergency roadside repairs.
Perform pre‑trip, en route and post‑trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
