Residential Recycling Driver

• Pay or shift range: $30.24 CAD to $33.60 CAD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job‑related reasons.

Waste Control Service (WCS) is a private, locally owned, and operated waste and recycling collections company offering solutions for the sustainable management of all things waste. We offer collection services and consultation for both residential communities as well as commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations exclusively in the Greater Vancouver region.

WCS is currently looking to add a full‑time Residential Recycling Driver to our fast‑paced, energetic, and passionate service team. We are searching for a Class 5 Driver with an air endorsement (required). This position will work in our Coquitlam facility and service West Vancouver.

• Safely operate side‑load trucks to collect and transport soft plastic from curbside in West Vancouver.
• Navigate designated routes efficiently, adhering to schedules and ensuring timely recycling collection.
• Provide courteous and professional service to customers, addressing any concerns or inquiries related to recycling collection.
• Identify and resolve issues that may arise during recycling collection, such as blocked routes, damaged bins, or equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch, supervisors, and team members to report progress, issues, and any deviations from the schedule.
• Ability to perform a physically demanding job involving manual collection at each household.
• Perform daily pre‑&post trip inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Class 5 License with Air Brakes Endorsement – Class 3 License is preferred.
• Two years of experience in the waste management industry is preferred.
• Ability to work in a diverse and evolving group dynamic.
• Driver’s abstract with no contraventions.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions while maintaining positive and respectful communication with residents.
