Residential Waste Collection Driver

Drive residential collection routes for GFL Environmental in Coquitlam, using collection equipment and safe waste-handling techniques. This on-call assignment requires seven-day dispatch availability.
As a Spare Driver, you will collect and transport waste or recyclables from assigned residential routes to GFL facilities. The work combines truck operation, hydraulic systems, manual loading, route standards, and public-facing professionalism. Accurate service records are also required.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect solid waste and recyclables on specified residential routes
- Manually load recyclable waste into collection vehicles
- Operate side-load and hydraulic collection systems
- Transport materials to GFL facilities for disposal
- Maintain route quality and accurate service records
- Class 5 licence with Air Brake Endorsement
- Class 3 licence preferred
- Ability to operate trucks and equipment safely
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry fifty pounds repetitively
- Open availability for dispatch seven days weekly
