Labourer, Warehouse, Material Handler
Location: Our client has sites across Surrey, Burnaby & Coquitlam, BC, On-site
Language: Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Duration: 3-month contract, Full time Monday to Friday
Background Check Requirement: Two professional references and the ability to obtain a Reliability Security Clearance
About the OpportunityThis opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying active throughout the day, and working in a structured warehouse environment.
We're seeking candidates who are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing physically demanding tasks while maintaining strong safety and quality standards. Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, records management, or material handling is an asset, but we were also open to candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

- Retrieve, organize, and process client records, files, boxes, binders, and stored materials.
- Manually lift, carry, move, and organize inventory throughout a secure records facility.
- Process incoming and outgoing customer orders using inventory management systems.
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory and verify record locations.
- Safely load, unload, stack, and transport materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Prepare materials for shipment or storage, including palletizing and shrink-wrapping.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are handled securely.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, records management, inventory control, or a similar physically demanding role is considered an asset.
- Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks throughout a full shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs independently.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and working on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
- Experience using handheld scanners or inventory systems is an asset.
- Ability to safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately track inventory.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to following safety procedures and productivity standards.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
