Senior Accountant

We are partnering with a large, multi-entity organization operating in a highly regulated, project-driven environment. This role supports core accounting and financial reporting functions within a complex operating structure and offers hands‑on exposure to technical accounting, controls, and audit support.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger entries
• Produce monthly financial reports and support close activities
• Perform and maintain complex account reconciliations and supporting work papers
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Support SOX compliance efforts and evaluate internal controls
• Assist with annual external audit coordination and audit support schedules
• Analyze financial results and explain variances to budget and prior periods
• Perform ad hoc financial and operational analysis as needed
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support data and reporting requests
• Maintain strong documentation, controls, and data integrity
• Support the team during peak periods, including occasional extended hours

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working within structured close and reporting environments
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines
• Clear communicator with a service‑oriented mindset
• Detail‑driven, accountable, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced setting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA or actively pursuing preferred
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience
• ERP experience required (JD Edwards and/or Oracle Fusion preferred)
• Public accounting background a plus
• Construction, project‑based, or infrastructure industry experience preferred
