A well-established, boutique, tax accounting firm with a sophisticated and varied client base (corporate and individuals, domestic and international) has an immediate opening for a Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant is expected to prepare returns and manage a fair volume of work (alongside the firm's Founder and Senior Partner), as well as assisting in other important matters that come up as part of a full-service accounting practice.

This person will be preparing complex corporate (and some individual) tax returns. In addition, this person will work directly with our clients, establish relationships and become an important part of our clients' tax and accounting advisory team. This is the perfect position for an experienced tax accountant looking for a stable and a long-term opportunity in a friendly and casual environment with REALLY interesting and sophisticated work.

• Prepare Federal and State tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, fiduciary and nonprofit organizations.
• Recommend tax strategies to minimize liability by interpreting tax regulations.
• Manage and review bookkeeping (as needed).
• Excellent communication skills, in order to obtain necessary information from clients and to provide superior customer service.

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting (MBA preferred).
• 5+ years experience working at an accounting firm.
• Ability to manage a fluid seasonal work volume and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Ultra Tax and Quickbooks Software.
• Advanced MS Excel and Word.
