The Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences, University of Miami, is soliciting applications for part‑time teaching positions (maximum two courses per semester). The department is particularly interested in candidates who can teach Introductory Biology (lecture and laboratory), Physiology, Cell & Molecular Biology, and Genetics.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses (lecture and/or laboratory).
- Provide a minimum of three hours per week of office hours per course for student meetings.
- Maintain an in‑person, face‑to‑face teaching schedule for all classes.
- Doctoral degree in Biology or a related discipline relevant to the course(s) taught.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant sub‑field and competence in the general area of Biology.
- At least one year of college teaching experience (preferred).
Applicants will be reviewed as received. The pool will remain open throughout the academic year. Appointment or offer is contingent upon student demand (enrollments) and available funding; final confirmation may not be available until classes begin.
