AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Coral Gables on January 15-16, 2026. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.

The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Friday, interviews will take place at our Coral Gables office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

AECOM is looking for an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist in our Florida office locations, which include Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Jacksonville. We will also consider exceptional candidates in other AECOM locations in the Southeast United States. The successful candidate will work within an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment that provides career growth opportunities within AECOM’s Remediation Southeast Team. This position will consist of both in-person and virtual (telework) work environments and will include performing environmental contamination assessments, contamination remediation, plan reviews, and technical report writing.

Our Remediation Southeast team primarily works on projects in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Supports AECOM projects in the areas of contaminated sediments, soil and groundwater assessment and remediation, environmental compliance, regenerative remediation and sustainability.
• Collects and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Assist with field activities for data collection.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Assist the senior staff with field oversight of remediation activities.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology or related field + 0 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review.
• As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening.
• As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a medical screening.
• Willing to work in a hybrid work environment, with office presence for two days a week.

• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Knowledge of CADD/GIS.
• Willingness to travel, complete field work, and work extended hours, when necessary.
• Knowledge of Mid-Atlantic States environmental regulations and setting.

• This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Coral Gables, FL. The selected candidate must be available to work in Coral Gables, FL on a scheduled basis.
