Description

Achieves maximum availability of the BHS Network Based Telecommunications Voice systems through effective installation & maintenance of the equipment throughout the facilities. Assist network engineering staff in planning telecom infrastructure capacity build out and network optimization projects. Provide Voice capacity analysis to BHSF IT Product lines & external clients. Recommend, specify & implement technology solutions along with participation as a team member in Project implementations.

Compilation & analysis of Network‑Based statistical data into statistical reports for capacity planning. Assist the Director of Network / Telecommunication Manager with vendor contracts. Ability to design LAN/WAN Network‑Based Voice solutions based on standard system design methodologies. Ability to perform advanced Network‑Based Voice System Management functions. Provides technical support as needed, to assist in resolving network‑Based & stand‑alone Voice specific problems:
Handsets, hardware, software, Call routing response time problems. Ability to provide basic network administrative functions & application support on supported systems. Provide support & mentoring for the lower tier Voice‑Network Engineers. Adherence to BHSF IT methodologies & standards i.e. project methodology & technology standards. Estimated salary range for this position is $85,901.44 - $ / year depending on experience.

Qualifications Degrees
  • Bachelors.
Additional Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or relevant work experience.
  • Cisco CUCM admin, ACD training, basic network knowledge.
  • Advanced design, installation & support exper with telecommunications equipment & contact center platforms with scripting.
  • Desirable configuration & installation exper with Cisco products required to perform routine & fault isolation of digital telecommunications equipment (Fiber optic transmission,multiplexes, digital cross‑connect,& channel bank equipment).
  • Perform routine fault isolation testing of DS1,DS3,ISDN,VOIP & SIP comm facilities.

  • 5 years experience with PBX , Voicemail, ACD admin & lead dial peer design on voice routers.
  • Experience with carrier circuit provisioning, troubleshooting, fiber optics, project management.
  • Certifications on supported equipment.

  • TCP/IP, SIP, QOS (Layer.

    3), Ethernet, RS232, DHCP.
  • Advanced knowledge of network mgmt, multi-protocol troubleshooting, optimization & troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of OSes:
    Linux/UNIX, Netware, DOS, & Windows.
  • Ability to act as a project/operational leader on large projects or high severity issues.
  • Knowledge of healthcare environment & programming skills desired.
  • Strong verbal/written communication, Documentation & inventory, Organizational, & analytical skills.
