The AMQ team delivers a high-performance messaging implementation basedon Apache Active

MQ Artemis and ArkMQ , focused on delivering AMQ on both Bare Metal and as a cloud-native messaging solution.

In this role, you’ll provide both technical leadership and strategic direction,
ensuring your team delivers innovative, production-grade Messaging features that help global enterprises build successful on Prem and Cloud based solutions. You’ll act as a bridge between software engineering and product management—driving execution while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Your role and responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of software developers.
• Define technical direction, set priorities, and drive successful execution of Messaging projects within the AMQ product suite
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape intelligent, customer-focused solutions
• Oversee the full development lifecycle, from research and prototyping to scalable deployment and monitoring
• Manage hiring, onboarding, education for new hires.
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Communicate strategy, progress, and impact to stakeholders across the organization Requirements

High School Diploma/GED

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

• Demonstrated experience in software engineering with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role
• Strong technical foundation in software engineering
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, or Go, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating across engineering and product functions
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Familiarity with Cloud based deployments using Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Messaging technologies in enterprise applications
