The Supervisor, Help Desk, provides supervision to the technical staff as well as the computer operations staff supporting the University community. This individual coordinates, leads, and monitors the performance of the technical specialists and support staff, and is responsible for modifying or devising new methods, techniques and procedures.
Department Specific Functions- Knowledge of troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying Apple Devices: iPads, Mac products, etc.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying Windows-based computers.
- Knowledge of common network troubleshooting practices.
- Ability to communicate with senior staff and faculty and exercise judgment when to elevate issues to MHBS IT department leadership.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies & processes and recommend, with sound reasoning, changes or updates in procedures.
- Ability to work nights or weekends if needed.
- Ability to work a 4/10 schedule (four days a week / ten hours a day).

Minimum Qualifications- Education
:- Associate’s degree in a relevant field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certification and Licensing
:- A+, Network+, and/or Security+ preferred.
- Experience
:- 3–5 years of experience. Any relevant education, certifications, and/or work experience may be considered.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes
:- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
- Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others, and to effectively plan, delegate, and supervise the work of others.
