To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position using the Career worklet, please review this .The University of Miami Total Rewards Department has an exciting opportunity for a Total Rewards Operations & Initiatives Manager leads the execution of compensation, benefits, and recognition-related projects and programs through strategic planning, performance improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role ensures the efficient and effective delivery of Total Rewards operations by managing initiatives that enhance employee experience, streamline processes, and support organizational goals. The incumbent evaluates current practices, recommends improvements, and drives communication strategies to engage stakeholders and sustain long-term success.
** CORE

JOB FUNCTIONS:

** 1.
Partners with Total Rewards and other HR teams (Client Services, Talent Acquisition, Support Services, etc.) to identify opportunities for operational improvement and define the scope of initiatives that enhance compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.  2.
Collaborates with stakeholders to establish objectives, success metrics, and resource needs for Total Rewards initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.  3.
Develops and maintains detailed project plans and timelines for Total Rewards initiatives, including compensation cycle planning, benefits optimization, and employee recognition programs.  4.
Tracks progress of initiatives proactively adjusts scope and strategy to meet evolving needs, and ensures timely and successful execution.  5.
Engages cross-functional teams in Total Rewards projects, provides onboarding and training, and assigns responsibilities to ensure effective collaboration and delivery.  6.
Conducts regular quality reviews of work produced to ensure alignment with project goals, compliance standards, and Total Rewards best practices.  7.
Designs and implements communication strategies to promote transparency and understanding of Total Rewards initiatives, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged.  8.
Evaluates and improves standard operating procedures related to Total Rewards, including compensation administration, benefits enrollment, and recognition workflows.  9.
Coordinates special projects such as compensation benchmarking, benefits vendor transitions, wellness initiatives, and employee engagement surveys.  10.
Prepares and delivers presentations and reports on Total Rewards initiatives, highlighting outcomes, insights, and recommendations for future improvements.  11.
Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.
