** The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Miami (Coral Gables, FL) invites nominations and applications for three open-rank, tenure-track faculty positions as part of a bold growth trajectory that will significantly expand the department’s impact and visibility. This search represents the first phase of a multi-phase hiring plan to be executed over the next three to four years.

While applications are welcome at all ranks, the department is particularly interested in early and mid-career faculty who are ready to accelerate UM ECE’s growth with established research programs.

We seek exceptional scholars in the following strategic :
* ** AI-Powered Microchips and Systems** (AI-powered microchips, AI-powered healthcare systems, edge intelligence, trustworthy and explainable AI)
* ** Robotics and Autonomous*
* ** Systems** (medical and surgical robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, human–machine collaboration, assistive systems)
* ** Quantum and Nano Technologies** (quantum communication, computing, sensing, nanoelectronics, emerging devices, energy-efficient systems)
* ** Cybersecurity and Cyber Physical Systems** (hardware, software, and network security; AI for secure and resilient systems; privacy; secure sensing and control in critical infrastructures)
Candidates with a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other closely related engineering disciplines are encouraged to apply.

** The College of Engineering (CoE) () houses six departments, including ECE, and complements the Frost Institute of Data Science and Computing, the Miller School of Medicine, and other academic units.
