Responsibilities- Plan, design, develop and implement different sales activities by researching customers’ needs and requirements.
- Ensure existing clients are retained and maintained while acquiring new customers.
- Carry out all sales and marketing activities within the agreed budgets, volume, sales targets, and time scales.
- Take initiative to develop constructive and effective solutions to any issues that slow down or hamper export procedures and activities.
- Constantly review distributors’ performance, monitor their work, and provide relevant information to management.
- Attend meetings with other companies to negotiate in order to assist overall growth and development of the business organization.
- Carry out market research, conduct surveys and study competitors’ marketing and sales strategies.
- Make new plans that help the organization race ahead in the competition by prioritizing target countries.
- Propose and negotiate sales, pricing and terms with assigned accounts and new customers.
- Analyze product purchasing options, including identifying best market pricing and supplier options, and conduct plant visits to ensure supplier compliance.
- Actively participate in training sessions to improve knowledge and skills.
- Develop close working relationships with key decision makers at target accounts.
- Be responsible for all sales results at assigned and targeted accounts.
- Be responsible for all A/R collections in each assigned account.
- Be responsible for pricing and margin management within assigned accounts.
- Attend trade shows and exhibitions.
- Bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
- Financial / business analytical skills.
- Computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AS/400.
- Category and product knowledge.
- Negotiation skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to build relationships.
